What Is Corflute?

Corflute is a lightweight, rigid fluted plastic sheet commonly used for temporary and semi-permanent signage.
Technically, corflute is a corrugated polypropylene (PP) sheet consisting of two relatively flat outer skins connected by internal vertical ribs or flutes. This construction gives the material considerably more rigidity than a solid sheet of the same weight while keeping it lightweight.
Corflute is water-resistant, lightweight, impact-resistant and suitable for indoor and outdoor signage, making it particularly popular for construction signs, real estate signs, event signage, temporary advertising, directional signs and site signage.
Our corflute signs are digitally printed using UV cured inks and cut to your selected finished size.

Are Your Corflute Signs Made Locally?

Great question! And the answer depends on where you are located. Our corflute signs are run in production facilities located Cairns QLD, Brisbane QLD, Sydney NSW, Melbourne VIC & Perth WA so depending on where you are based or where you need your signage delivered to, we will run it out of the nearest production facility to you, ensuring timely turnaround from production through to dispatch and local delivery.

How quickly can I receive my corflute signs?
Our standard production turnaround for corflute corrugated plastic signs is shown above and is calculated from the moment your artwork has been approved. Once your artwork proof is approved, we move your order into production. Your finished signs are then securely packaged and dispatched to your nominated Australian delivery address.

How Long Do Corflute Signs Last?

The expected lifespan of a corflute sign depends on its environment, exposure and how it is installed.
Corflute itself is a durable polypropylene substrate that is well suited for outdoor use. However, the lifespan of the finished sign is influenced by factors including UV exposure, weather, temperature, wind, installation method and the amount of physical handling it receives.
For short-term construction, event, promotional and directional signage, corflute provides an excellent combination of low weight, durability and affordability.
For applications requiring very long-term outdoor exposure or greater structural rigidity, we may recommend an alternative signage substrate such as alu-panel signs made from aluminium composite panel (ACM / ACP).

How Are Your Corflute Signs Printed?

Every order goes through a controlled artwork and production process.
Once your order is placed, we review the supplied artwork and prepare it for production where required. An artwork proof is then sent to you for approval.
Production does not commence until the required artwork approval has been received unless in circumstances where you have supplied absolute print-ready artwork with confidence OR you’re placing a re-order.
Once approved, your artwork is placed into production where it is then applied onto the corflute substrate using commercial printing equipment and UV-cured inks. UV printing allows the ink to cure rapidly under ultraviolet light, producing a dry, durable print which is immediately then ready for the next production stage.
The finished corflute signs with your printed artwork/s are then trimmed to the required finished dimensions, safely packaged and dispatched to your chosen address – WITH FREE DELIVERY!

What Sizes & Shapes Can I Order Corflute Signs?

Custom corflute signs can be produced in a wide range of sizes and formats.
Choose from the available standard sizes on this product page, or contact us if you require a different finished dimension.
Corflute can be cut to custom rectangular dimensions and, where supported by the product, can also be produced in custom shapes. Squares, circles, triangles, the shape of a person, vehicle, character, you name it!

Here at Design 2 Print Australia, our approach is focused on reducing unnecessary waste, reusing suitable production materials and choosing efficient printing processes wherever practical – ensuring we continue our commitment in doing our best to be a greener and cleaner business.

We strictly commit to a minimise-waste approach throughout our production process.
Rather than treating every piece of unused material as waste, we actively look for opportunities to reuse suitable media and substrate offcuts. Depending on their size and condition, offcuts can be repurposed for packaging, corner protection and other production purposes. This is something we actively do day-in day-out as a team and are proud of.

Corflute is a recyclable polypropylene (PP) substrate. Unlike composite materials made from multiple bonded materials, corflute is manufactured from polypropylene, a thermoplastic plastic that can be recycled where suitable polypropylene recycling facilities are available. This means that at the end of its useful life, corflute signage can potentially be recovered and recycled rather than automatically becoming landfill waste.

Where our production uses Mimaki LUS-170 UV-curable inks, those inks are GREENGUARD Gold certified by UL LLC, an independent third-party certification relating to chemical emissions. Mimaki lists LUS-170 among its GREENGUARD Gold certified UV-curable inks. GREENGUARD Gold certification (Certificate No. 99655-420)

How Do I Order Custom Corflute Signs?

Noticed the print is printed into the corflute as well and not vinyl applied and cut to fit which I think looks a lot beter.
